We leave Melbourne's Southern Cross Station at a convenient time of 10.00 on Saturday 6th August 2018# & head up the Hume Freeway to the Myrtleford for options of a country pub lunch with complimentary local wines to enjoy.
Mid afternoon we arrive at Falls Creek to be met by handlers & some of the competitors ( huskies, not jockeys ). As the sun lowers and the ambient temperature drops below freezing the race is about to start! We have secured a private section on a prime balcony with finger food on offer for you to get the best possible views of the evenings events.
Our overnight accommodation is at the Milawa Motel, where a light breakfast awaits you the following morning. Explore by foot the Mustard Factory, Snow Road Produce or Brown Brothers Winery, prior to our late morning departure to return to Melbourne around 3pm.
